MEA Secy Dnynaneshwar Mulay Earn Sushma Swaraj Praise at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
New Delhi: Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is being celebrated till January 23 in the holy city of Varanasi under the theme “Role of Indian Diaspora in building a New India”.
Speaking on the occasion, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said, “It’s the migration of educated that has brought laurels to India. Today many MNCs are headed by young Indian origin CEOs, whether it’s Sundar Pichai of Google, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Ajay Banga of MasterCard or Gita Gopinath of IMF.”
She further Praising Dnyaneshwar Mulay, Secretary, Consular, Passport and Visa division at the Ministry of External Affairs, said,

“Dyaneshwar Mulay who’s designation is
Secretary (Consular, Passport, Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs). I want say something about Dyaneshwar Mulay that firsty there were two Separate departments and there were different Ministries of OIA but after discussing with Prime Minister we merged these two ministries as one. From the moment these two ministries are joint he has been the secretary. But i must tell Dyaneshwar Mulay never treated Pravasi Bhartiya Goodwill as Government work he treated as his priority that’s why i want to congratulate him for the future because he will be retiring after this Pravasi Bharatiya Program.”
