Metro tunnelling for INA-South Ex Metro over

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has finished the tunnelling work on the INA-South Extension Metro stretch using a tunnel-boring machine at the South Extension station site.

A tunnel-boring machine (TBM) was lowered into the INA shaft in October, 2013, and has completed 925 metres of tunnelling till South Extension. The other TBM, placed in the adjacent tunnel, is only 250 metres behind and is expected to be retrieved from the South Extension shaft in a fortnight.
