MP MaheishGirri Meets Chief Minister UP to propose development works near Delhi U.P. Border, concerning East Delhi constituency

New Delhi June 18, 2017. East Delhi MP & BJP National Secretary Mr. MaheishGiri held a meeting with Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath in relation with on-going pending works near the Delhi UP border in his constituency areas of East Delhi.

The parliamentarian said that the Agra canal from Agra-Mathura passes through three assembly constituencies of East Delhi and large areas of land in such areas belongs to the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department (“UPID”). Some important tasks related to UPID have been pending for long, as per the MP, such departments have been requested to act on pending projects several times without any substantive response. As a result, the work has been stalled since quite some time.

According to MaheishGirri, intervention is required for the construction of pucca road on the land of UPID from Aali village to Madanpur Khadar in Okhla assembly area, since thousands of residents face problems for commuting. Re-construction of two 100 year old bridges and construction of additional bridge on Agra canal is also one of the important action items for development.

The metallic road which move along with Agra Canal can also be widened to make it equipped to handle future traffic conditions.

Apart from the above mentioned issues, construction of flyovers and bridges on Agra Canal from Ghazipur to New Ashok Nagar & construction of park and playground in & around Jamia Nagar Police Station, near Okhla in the land belonging to UPID was also taken up.

Further, he requested for the construction of puccaChathghats, in the vicinity of Agra canal in Ghazipur, New Ashok Nagar and Madanpur Khadar, since this area is mostly populated by families from Purvanchal.

Many people are being affected due to stalling of these tasks. He said that the Honourable Chief Minister was requested to allot time to discuss all these tasks and he immediately agreed for the same so that the pace of development is not stalled. The MP thanked Shree Yogi Adityanath for this gesture.

Further, the Honourable Chief Minister acknowledged that

these issues being important development works, such tasks shall be taken on priority by his Government. Shree Yogi admired that Mr. MaheishGirri travelled to Lucknow to bring these important projects to his notice.
