A musical Tribute to Legend Kishore Kumar by DMS Aarohi Musical Society at India Islamic Cultural Centre!

New Delhi: A musical Evening , titled, ‘Mai Hoon Jhumroo– Kishore Sings for Kishore,’ dedicated to the legendary singer Kishore Kumar , was organised recently at India Islamic Cultural Centre in Delhi. Shankar Sahney, Play Back Singer was the chief guest of the occasion. Organised by DMS Aarohi and Hosted by a group of music lovers, the evening saw singers from Different cities and bringing back to life the golden melodies of Kishore da, with their singing.

The musical programme was Graced by the melodies from more than 30 singers. The singers rendered songs like, Ae Hasin Nazeeno, Hawaon pe likh do, Koi Hum Dum Na Rha by Kishore Kumar . As the event progressed, the singers were flooded with umpteen requests for Kishore Kumar numbers and songs.

The program was on all classy songs of Kishore Kumar like, Ye raat ye mausam, Bhola Bhola Mann, Piya Piya Piya, that are rarely heard on Stage. The cherry on the cake was Music accompaniment done by the topmost musicians from the city. A fetting tribute was paid to legendary playback singer of Hindi cinema

Speaking to Ten New on the Occasion, Pankaj Mathur, Founder President, DMS Aarohi Said, “Kishore ‘legend’ Kumar may not be with us today but his heart warming & peppy songs still leave us in awe and can feature in anyone’s list of favourite songs. he is a complete legend, in 13-14″years of his singing career where he acted also, the movies were not hit but his songs were huge success. DMS Arohi celebrates these event every year and have given a platform to numerous budding artistes in the field of playback singing”.
