The Datsun is a brand from the Japanese auto giant, Nissan. In 2013, Datsun India had launched the hatchback Go in the Indian market. In January 2015, they had launched the MUV Datsun Go+ which is a 7-seater. This sub-4 metre car comes in 4 petrol variants the D, the D1, the A and the T priced Rupees 3.8, 3.82, 4.15 and 4.65 respectively. The Go+ comes in colours of ruby, gold, silver, grey and white.

The Datsun Go+ is made on the same platform of the hatchback Go. The D-cut grille, 3 dimensional head lights, a sculpted bonnet, a sharp bumper with 3 air intakes, black finish rear view mirrors, body coloured door handles and a squared off tail gate are the features of the exterior. The top variants have tinted windows, rear washer/wiper and rear defogger. The seating arrangement is 2+3+2.

The double tone cabin of the Go+ has standard features like an engine immobiliser, child lock facilities, fabric seats and an externally adjustable single ORVM. The T variant has central locking with key, a manual AC, power steering, 12V volt socket, 3 spoke steering wheel, frontal power windows, 2 no ORVMs, body coloured bumpers and a 1 Din music system with auxiliary capability. There are no air bags in any of the variants.

The Datsun Go+ is powered by an 1196 cc, 67 bhp and 104 NM torque petrol engine connected to a 5 speed manual transmission. The car gives mileages of 20.62 kmpl. The dimensions of the car are 3995 mm length, 1635 mm width, 1490 mm height, 2450 mm wheel base and 170 mm ground clearance. The boot size is 40 litres extendable to 347 by folding the rear seat.

The suspensions of the Go+ are the McPherson strut with double pivot lower arm at the front and H-4 type torsion beam at the rear. The steel wheels are R13 type. The brakes are disc type at the front and drum type at the rear.

Stylish exteriors, lowest prices and good mileages are plus points of the Go+. The cabin space is less especially in the third row. Important safety features like air bags and ABS are also missing in the car.
