National Sustainability Case Challenge 2017-18, BIMTECH Greater Noida

Birla Institute of Management and Technology, one of the top B-schools, organised the first ever National Sustainability Case Challenge for the students pursuing graduation. It gives them a platform for showing their problem solving skills.

There were 40 teams from various colleges like Jamia Milia Islamia University, NIT delhi , IIT delhi, VIT Chennai, Christ university , Bangalore, KIT school of law ; bhubaneshwar , IIM Ahmedabad, XIMB;Bhubaneswar, Shiv Nadar University , Benett Institute etc. This competition is based on national environment sustainability theme, in which the students had to present their ideas on the topics like Global Warming, Deforestation, Air pollution, Change of season timings and rising temperatures. In this competition teams were divided into 4 groups of 10 teams each. Every team consisted of 2 members each. From every group 1 team was selected for the final round and out of the 4 finalists, Anibran Mukopadhayaya and Alok Singh from IIT Delhi was the winner and Shreshtha Mishra and Aarti Gupta from Miranda House Yogita Gautam and Saumya Gupta were the runner up.

BIMTECH was the organiser of NSCC in collaboration with UNGC India, KPMG, Civil Society of India and Governance Now, Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi , Director of BIMTECH, distributed the prizes alongwith Mr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director and CEO of UNGC India . The judges of the final round were Mr.Mukesh Gulati; vice president of MSME, Vivek Prakash ,CSR head of Jubiliant India. Both of them congratulated all the participants for their innovative ideas and wished them luck for their bright future.
