National Youth Festival 2018 concludes, Col Rajyavardhan Rathore imparts winning tips to youth

“Passion, planning and action” were the keys of success that India’s first individual silver medal winner and current MoS (IC) for Youth Affairs and Sports Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore shared with the youth at the concluding ceremony of National Youth Festival 2018.

The five day long extravaganza that include sports, cultural events, seminars, youth parliament, discussion, debates etc. concluding with a prize distribution ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.

The event witnessed the presence of Col. Rathore, UP Sports Minister Chetan Chauhan, Youth Affiars Secreatry Dr. AK Dubey, NYKS DG Major General Dilawar Singh and other dignitaries.

 

Speaking at the concluding ceremony Youth Affairs Minister Col. Rathore said, “We have an enormous soft power in form of large number of youth. The country needs to channelize the energy of these large numbers of youths to achieve greater and greater heights in all the fields. I urge all states to have more and more focus on providing best possible facilities to our youth so that they can achieve their dreams and bring glory for the nation”.

UP Sports Minister Chetan Chauhan said, “We have already announced that every winner of Olympic medal coming from the state will be awarded with a prize money of 6 Crore rupees. We want to encourage our youth to participate in the field of their interest without any worry of the future. Sports is an integral part of all round development and the state is doing its best to promote it by all means”.

Both the leaders also congratulated NYKS and Gautam Buddha University for facilitating the organization of National Youth Festival at this venue in such short notice.

The theme of the festival was Sankalpa Se Sidhi and in last five days different activities for the youth have been organized such as meditation and Yoga, conversation with eminent personalities, rive conservation particularly Namai Ganag, financial inclusion schemes, environment conservation etc. A set of workshops were also organized on few selected topics such as Start-up India, Skill India, performing arts among others.

Youth from different corners of India participated in these events.
