NCERT holds 103rd Executive Council meeting in New Delhi

NCERT (National Council for Education Research and Training) today held its 103rd executive committee meeting with participation from almost all the states in New Delhi.

The meeting was aimed at improving the existing NCERT curriculum. The meeting was presided by Union HRD Minister, Prakash Javadkar. Deputy CM Delhi, Manish Sisodia was also present.

In the meet, all the states gave their feedback, keeping their cultural and social fabric in view, on how to improve the current NCERT curriculum. Several drawbacks in the existing curriculum were also listed which union HRD minister ensured to rectify shortly.

Speaking on the occasion, Sisodia said, “Whenever a new government is formed, people speculate whether the curriculum would be aligned left or right wing. But we should always know that curriculum should neither be right or left, it should always be student centric.
