New Delhi: The calumnious bogey of “misuse” has plagued the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (PoA Act) since it came into force in 1989 and was being implemented in 1995 (when the rules under the principal legislation were framed).

On Thursday, Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan has made a big statement about PM Narendra Modi. He said that Narendra Modi will stay as the Prime Minister of our country. He also rejected speculation in which the tension was being talked about with the central government about their relationship. Ram vilas said that our party is a partner with NDA and will continue to be ahead. There is no question of separation from the NDA. Significantly, Ramvilas Paswan had recently criticized the alleged communal statements of some BJP leaders in Bihar.

Addressing the media Union Minister and president of NDA ally, the Lok Janshakti Party, Ram Vilas Paswan said, “Opposition is trying to take advantage of the current situation. The NDA govt has improved upon the SC/ST Act. The recent SC order has not gone down well with the Dalits. We need to carefully select candidates, if a constituency has a sizeable minority vote, we should have a minority candidate”. He also advised the BJP to take all the sections of people together. The Speaker of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) said that the NDA is not in any kind of trouble. I had already said that the Prime Minister’s post is not vacant in 2019 elections. The NDA was always united and will stay United in future.
