Noida’s renowned social activist and reformer Usha Thakur spoke to Ten News and shared her life journey as a social crusader. She says that life never is a cakewalk for a social activist. There are always issues and problems that one has to face in such public life.

Elaborating about her major achievements she recalls, “There was one auto-lending company in Delhi that would give auto’s in depleted condition to unsuspecting poor migrants. They would deposit money and take those auto’s only to be apprehended by Police. Later such was the arrangement between authorities and auto company that migrants would have to pay both of them after getting caught. Many of these people then committed suicide. I later broke this scam and got crores of money returned to poor people who were duped.
Few years back I also rescued many blind ladies and saved them from oppression. We later got them settled with our own finances”.
Speaking about major issues of present day society she says,” I am really worried with growing deforestation. Most of plantation drives are limited to photo-op’s only. My organization has been planting many thousand trees every year. We want that everyone should understand the consequences of deforestation. Our planet needs to be save and preserved for upcoming generations”.
She also said that Modi is a dynamic leader who is trying to bring positive change in the society. However she added that Modi needs more people in his team with similar outlook to bring real change.
