Nitin Gadkari and Akshay Kumar launches Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Delhi!

New Delhi: According to the numbers released by the road and transport ministry, as many as 1.46 lakh people lost their lives in 4.60 lakh road accidents across the country in 2017.And According to a Survey by IRSC 17 people die every hour on Indian Roads, 4.07 Lakh crores costs to India due to road crashes annually.

On Tuesday, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari
Launched road safety awareness video with Brand ambassador of road safety campaign Akshay Kumar. The Road Campaign theme is "Road Kisi Ke Baap Ki Nehin", Where Khiladi Kumar in a video come forward and voices his opinion on how to make India’s roads safer.

Speaking on the Occasion, Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar said,

"When I got to know the shocking facts and figures related to road accidents which can be prevented I was immediately on board for the Road Safety Campaign to help create awareness. I have taken up the issue of road safety in national interest and not to become brand ambassador. Thank you to Nitin Gadkari ji, Mansukh Mandaviya ji and Yudhvir Singh Malik ji for the Oppurtunity.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said,

"We are Launching road safety awareness video with Brand ambassador of road safety campaign Akshay Kumar.Our priority is to reduce road accidents and with famous celebrity Akshay Kumar leading this capaign we are confident that we’ll be able to increase awareness about road safety."
