Day before festivals begins, Greater Noida Administration confiscates large amount of adulterated food samples!

As the festive seasons starts adulteration shoots up in food items.Even after the order of District Magistrate B N Singh Food Security & Standards Department has shown lack of concern and is indulging in doing formality instead of taking any strict action to check adulteration.As per reports from the market most big names in sweet and food domain of the district are being exempted from inspection this season.So the food units that do business of lakhs on daily basis have not yet been raided by Food Safety Department and the process as of now is being done by taking samples from small shopkeeper’s only.

In District Gautam Budh Nagar on a large scale adulterated food items were found in past inspections.Mainly high usage food items such as paneer, khoya are supplied to Delhi and even in other states.They bake sweets in minimum cost and then sell it at a higher cost during festivals and make huge profits.As per reports earlier many famous shop food items samples were send for enquiry and many of them failed on set standards and were totally unsafe for usage.

Raids Conducted in Greater Noida Day Before Festivals Start

On Monday Food security department also conducted raid against suspected food adulterers in Tugalkapur area of Greater Noida.  During this investigation around 5 shops were raided. During raid some shopkeepers were able to ran away but a large amount of paneer, Khoya & spices were recovered.
District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar said around 10 to 12 quintal of paneer, soyachaap & adulterated spice were sized and destroyed. Samples were accumulated and send for testing if they will fail per set standards then Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
