April 17 is celebrated every year as Noida foundation day as it was on this day that Noida was founded in the year 1976. A lot has changed since its formation in 1976 and Noida has gradually developed into a full-fledged hub for industries, real-estate sector educational institutes and IT/ITES services.
Located in close proximity to the National capital Delhi, Noida has witnessed unprecedented growth in last few decades. World class health facilites,renowned universities and high-end fashion malls have made Noida a prime choice of shoppers, students, residents and investors alike.
Noida has one of the highest per-capita incomes in whole of Uttar Pradesh whereas in NCR it leads in the segment.
Conceptualization:
It is said that Noida or New Okhla Industrial Development Authority was proposed to be developed as an urban conglomerate in the year 1976 by Sanjay Gandhi. This was the time when state of emergency was declared throughout the country by the then Prime Minister of India. Although during the period on April 17, Noida authority was set-up with a motive to deal with urban thrust. Indeed Noida has since then left behind all its critics and have developed in to a full-fledged business destination.
Noida @2017: How Authority Changed the Picture
Noida of 2017 is a huge change from what was conceived in 1976. It has surpassed the expectations of many and is rapidly growing both demographically as well as in Business sense. Noida Authority which looks after day to day operations of the city and its development goals is considered one of the richest civic bodies of India.
Noida authority officials have also started using modern technological tools with exceptional ease and are now interacting with Noida residents and resolving their problems on day to day basis. Erstwhile CEO of Noida and Greater Noida authority Deepak Agarwal enjoyed tremendous connect and support from Noida citizens and the eminent natives of the city are looking forward to forging similar relationship with new CEO Amit Mohan Prasad.
DCEO Saumya Shrivastava took part in a cleanliness drive organized in different sectors of Noida today morning and also planted a sapling in a Noida sector.

I also want to make use of this opportunity to thank all officers, members and office bearers of different RWA’s and all other eminent citizens to thank them for their contributions. Everyone has together made this city a world class place and I am sure if all of us take resolution to make it green and clean, Noida will surely reflect that”.
The first Wave of Investment: Wave Group stood shoulder to shoulder with Noida’s growth
Wave group was the first conglomerate to realize the potential of Noida.
