Nonfunctional Life Delays Medical Aid, Elderly Die of Heart Attack in Noida Society

On Friday an old age person lost his life because of a non working lift. Incident is of Uni-Homes society, Greater Noida where an elderly person named Aqil Rizvi , 76 got a heart stroke and he was taken down through stairs from 5th floor that took excessive time causing his death.

On Friday evening around 5PM when he got heart attack at that time only his wife was present at home. As there was no power backup facility available in the society so lift remained shut down from last five after power cut. His son was able to reach after 1 hour after being informed by his mother. Meanwhile the Rizvi was been taken down by the help of guards but it took all most one hour to bring him down as stair case of the society were very narrow. When the patient finally reached emergency ward he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Aqil Rizvi’s son Asim Rizvi stated that because of non-working lift the crucial time of the patient was wasted and he couldn’t get medical treatment at right time. The hospital is just 5 minute away and if his father had got the treatment within time his life could have been saved.
