Nrityashti Alaknanda’s Dance Drama ‘Draupdi’ leaves audience Mesmerized at 8th Spirit of Dance Festival

Delhi:The Nrityashri Alaknanda and her Institute Alaknanda Institute for Performing Art (AIPA) organizied a grand event named “8th Spirit of dance festival” from 4th to 10th November at Kamanl Auditorium in New Delhi. Dance performances like Baroque Court Dance -Poland, Bharat Natyam, Maharas and Draupadi written & choreographed by Nrityashri Alaknanda in the Grand Finale left the audience mesmerised that concluded on Friday.

The main highlight of the show was the Dance Drama ‘Draupadi’ performed by Nrityashri Alaknanda and Group which was no less than a silent poetry. The dance was dedicated to the women that surrounds us in our lives, Also Raised questions on Re-thinking our own beliefs, on the terms set by the patriarchal society through ages, Nrityashri Alaknanda’s poem & Production sent thought provoking message about the women in our society who are still subjected to emotional, physical & mental ‘chir-haran.’

Nrityashri Alaknanda has been actively engaged in educating, training, promotion and upliftment of pure classical art and culture in indie and abroad with a vision to keep alive the rich Indian culture, classical music and dance heritage and in its continued efforts in the direction of encouraging upcoming talents through organizing various events and through her national level institute AIPA.
