Nukkadwala celebrates first anniversary with Gurgaon Police

GURGAON: In what comes as a novel way to celebrate the first anniversary, Nukkadwala – a venture of Vatika Group, on Wednesday – with an association of Gurgaon police, distributed delicacies’ packets to the cops as a token of thanksgiving for their commendable job during the recent traffic jam in heavy rains.

More than 100 policemen received the packets of vada pao and shikanji. The thanksgiving rally started at 11.30 AM from Farzipur Chowk and ended at IFFCO Chowk, covering the police booths at Badshahpur Chowk, Subhash Chowk and MG Road.

Enthused with the warm response, Gaurav Bhalla, MD, Vatika Hotels said, “We appreciate the efforts of our police department who stand by us all the time. So, we decided to celebrate Nukkadwala’s first b’day with Gurgaon Police. I would like to thanks Gurgaon Police Commissioner Mr. Virk for his extended support to us for carrying out this activity.”

Even the police chief applauded Nukkadwala’s initiative. Navdeep Singh Virk, Commissioner of Gurgaon Police said that the police department had always looked forward for such innovative initiatives. “We highly appreciate the efforts of Nukkadwala going to the roads and encouraging our police force,” he said.

The cops too were appearing enthusiastic. Satpal Singh, one of the police officers, jubilantly said:  “It is a maiden sort of celebration, perhaps for the first time in my knowledge across the country. I would like to congratulate Nukkadwala and reciprocate their thanksgiving for celebrating their anniversary with us.”

Nukkadwala also gave pineapple halwa to all their customers in order to celebrate their anniversary. Those people sharing their birthday with Nukkadwala were given free meal up to Rs. 200.
