Uttar Pradesh police has become very active on the social media website twitter. Almost every query that is tagged to its handle or handles is replied within very short span of time. The department of UP Police has ordered all district branches to set a twitter handle that can respond to queries and grievances of people in real-time.

On Monday, 3rd July, 2017 an individual posted a news that he has being harassed by some shopkeeper from whom he has purchased the cell-phone.

He said that phone has stopped functioning and the trader isn’t repairing it nor is providing a replacement.

UP police official handle reverted the tweet with customary message that read”Submit complaint to concerned police station and necessary action will be taken”.

However the individual within few hours replied back that his work has been done by just showing this tweet to shopkeeper.

He said, “I have received a new phone by showing this reply to the mobile shop trader. Thanks for the reply”.
