Gurgaon: We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. This Earth day, on April 22nd, Students of pathways School Gurgaon went beyond making promises and understood one of the burning issues we face today– E-waste. Pathways school Gurgaon celebrated Earth Day on Friday 22nd April, 2016 for the young environmentalists, wherein the students of Primary school kick started the e-waste awareness and collection drive.

The whole objective behind the cause is to engage young children along with the society in environmental causes. The students explored to the what, why, how, where and when of the issue.

Students also performed on a Nukad natak spreading awareness regarding E-waste. A group of students were also involved in the release publication of E-waste special news flash which contain important facts and information about E-waste.

Pathways School Gurgaon has partnered with an E-waste collection agency called Pom Pom for the collection drive. Pom Pom also conducted a small workshop on segregation of waste. Pathways has placed e-waste collection bins across the school and look forward for a continuous collection of e-waste thereby encouraging our students to become lifelong learners and take responsibility of their action.

The action the students plan to take with a E-waste is to start a collection drive wherein the entire Pathways community and others will be encouraged to contribute towards the drive and become ambassadors of this endeavour.

Pathways continues its commitment to raise children who are conscious and pro-active in keeping Earth clean.
