PHD Chamber Organises 113th Annual Session & Annual Awards for Excellence in Delhi!

New Delhi: PHD Chamber on Friday Organised 113th Annual Session and PHD annual Awards for excellence  at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The chief guest of the session was Arun Jaitley, Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs who joined the session through Video Conferencing.

Anil Khaitan, President, PHDCCI, Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State (I/C) Youth Affairs & Sports, Ram Mohan Mishra, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Ministery of MSME, Government of India,Dr Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation were also among the others at the session.

Anil Khatan, President, PHDCCI, in his welcome address said,

“Indian physical market is estimated to top 2.1 Trillion Dollars by 2020 to present 770 million. Whenever the consumer is engaging with the brand such as the tatas, Reliance Fresh, Godrej nature’s basket have all launched online channels initiative. Future groups are adding a technology layer where new outlets will be open with the help off google which help to locate store locations by mapping consumers. Future groups have also tied up with Facebook and chat bots, Machine learning and voice recognition startups to drive social engagement with the consumers.”

Speaking at the annual session of PHD Chamber of Commerce via Video Conference, Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley said,

“Some global trends do adversely affectIndia, but going ahead they will open up avenues for the country to grow faster.The trade war initially created instability, but eventually may open up greater markets. They will open up India as a bigger trading and manufacturing base and, therefore, we must closely watch the situation as to when the challenge turns into an opportunity.”

Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore addressing PHD Chamber 113th Annual Session said,

“Happy to be here at the 113th Annual Session Of PHD Chamber. Privileged to be here. Humbled to be in such an August gathering. What defines a person is not what you had. It’s what you have achieved by your hard work.The economy is building because of the hunger in people to succeed. That’s what drives India. That is the opportunity in our country. Proud that Goverment has taken sports to the grassroots level. This is what will make sports heroes in India.”


Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said,

“Regulations are a limitation to the India Growth Story. Unnecessary legislation is being removed. Request PHD Chamber to list out unnecessary legislation’s and give it to the government. We will do our best to remove it. Ease of Doing Business will only happen if archaic legislation’s and laws are removed or made easier. Working on 6 districts of India to remove obstacles and make doing business easier.This is a pilot project aimed at increasing GDP by 3 percent in these districts.”

Gen (Dr.).V.K Singh, Union Minister of state for External Affairs addressed the Ministerial Session on “India’s Strategic Approach towards Neighbouring Countries: Challenges and Way Forward”
He delivered a very delightful speech about India’s relation with its neighbouring countries and some of his words said,

“India believes in cultivating its neighbours in the spirit of ensuring that India shares what it has with them so as to settle good relations with these neighbouring countries.”

He then called the meeting of Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to be a deviation for Indian the countries that have their eyes on India.


in the other session of valedictory on “India of dreams”,
Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, National Spokesperson, Indian National Congress and Member Of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) was the main focus for every single audience present there where he talked about William Dement, a well known writer, and said,

“William Dement talked about DREAMING, decades ago he said, Dreaming permits every each one of us to be quietly and safely insane for every night we face in our lives. We may find it sometimes very delicious and fruitful and maybe sometimes very infectious.”
