Pipping Ceremony of ITBP graced by Hon’ble HM and Hon’ble MoS Home at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi

21 August, 2017. New Delhi—A grand pipping ceremony of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Sh Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Union Home Minister decorated the newly promoted officials of the ITBP with the ranks.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh Singh said that the services rendered by the Himveers of ITBP are laudable. Sh Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble MoS (Home) also applauded the Force for exemplary service in various security related duties.
Total 1654 officials (Officers, Sub Ordinate Officers and Other Ranks from the rank of Constable to Commandant in different cadres) of the Force in all ranks were promoted today.
ITBP is primarily deployed to guard 3488 KM Himalayan borders of the country.
