PM Modi at National Youth Festival  2018 : Youth Must Realize The Dreams of Our Freedom Fighters!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the inauguration of National Youth Festival 2018 through video conferencing.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State (IC) for culture and environment were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

As soon as Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared on the big screen behind the stage, whole indoor stadium erupted in loud cheer and applause. Loud shouts of his name also reverberated in the stadium at start of his speech.

Prime Minister Modi began his address with the mention of Vivekanand’s birth anniversary and also congratulated ISRO for the launch of 100th Satellite.

Youth numbering in thousands were present in the stadium during the inauguration of 22nd National Youth Festival. Participants from different states were donning the cultural dresses of their respective states during today’s ceremony.

Addressing the Youth PM Modi today said, “We did not take part in India’s independence struggle so we have the responsibility to realise the dreams of those who helped us attain freedom from British rule. When the country will celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence in 2022, how will the National Youth Day will be celebrated in that year?’ You should discuss a plan for that from now. Our strides in space will help our citizens & enhance our development journey. I want to once again congratulate our scientists on launch of India’s 100th satellite ‘Cartosat-2’ series”.

He further said that Youth from today must come forward for the cause of nation building. He also congratulated the organizing committee of 22nd National Youth Festival for ensuring equal representation of both genders in this year’s edition.

PM Modi said that he would also take complete details of all the discussions happening in these National Youth Festivals and would look after the inputs being obtained by the youth.
