Save our Constitution’ group led by Shahzad Poonawalla and Tehseen Poonawalla along with Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh and many others united on Wednesday in New Delhi to insist on the government to bring Manav Suraksha Kanoon (MASUKA) law to parliament and start a discussion on the need of such legislation.

Talking about the mob lynching Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said, we have gathered here to support MASUKA because there is no definition of mob lynching and we need to frame it and MASUKA has now become imperative given the Mob lynchings taking place across the country.

The time has come for PM Modi to go beyond words and take concrete steps to stop this mob violence taking place across the country and make MASUKA a reality, he added.

The much anticipated draft law of MASUKA was unveiled by National Campaign Against Mob Lynching members on July 7, following the numerous cases of mob lynchings in the nation.
