Prakash Ambedkar releases draft law of Manav Suraksha Kanoon to strictly deal with Lynching @MASUKA

NEW DELHI : Prakash Ambedkar, grandson of BR Ambedkar released the draft law of Manav Suraksha Kanoon (MASUKA) along with Tehseen Poonawalla and Shehla Rashid core members of National Campaign Against Mob Lynching (NCAML) in the presence of lawyer Sanjay Hegde and Shehzad Poonawalla on Friday in New Delhi.

As per the draft, mob lynching should be made a non bailable offence and life imprisonment for those convicted under Mob lynching. It also includes, immediate suspension of concerned SHO of the area until time bound judicial probe.

Drafting committee comprises of Sanjay Hegde, senior advocate, Sadaf Musharraf, Najeeb Ahmed’s sister, Nivedita Menon, JNU professor and many others.

Last month, Tehseen Poonawalla along with Shehla Rashid, Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mewani launched a national campaign against Mob which has gathered momentum in the last few days and is likely to snowball in the coming days.
