Protesting Guest teachers manhandled, by police during march to Delhi BJP Office!

New Delhi: Thousands of Guest Teachers Protesting outside Delhi BJP Office were detained on Monday by Delhi Police. The Delhi government teachers have been demanding the implementation of the 60-year-old policy, which states that 22,000 guest teachers can continue working in Delhi government schools and retire after attaining 60 years of age.



Protesting guest teachers alleged that they were manhandled and assaulted by Delhi Police personnel on Monday while they were on their way to the BJP’s Delhi unit office to demand extension of their contracts.

According to the reports, after the implementation of the policy of extending the maximum age limit to 60 years for guest teachers, that the guest teachers have not backed down and have continued to protest even after the implementation turning their statements to ‘we want policy’ to ‘we want approval’.

Earlier, Several guest teachers of Delhi government schools, whose contract ended on February 28, Saturday protested outside Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence as well.
