Rail loco pilots hold massive protest in New Delhi to protest against the ruling government in centre

New Delhi: All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) held a massive protest in New Delhi to protest against the ruling government in center to demand the allowances which was allegedly not provided to them and warned the government for a nation-wide strike.



Thousands of railway employees haling from several states came to the national capital to demonstrate their ongoing anger in a hope that the ruling government will reciprocate to their demands and will work to find a permanent solution.

The protesters targeted the central government and stated that if their demands will not be materialized soon then they will have to take strong steps including going off-duty for a nation-wide strike which can stop the mega railway network and the Railway Ministry will be responsible for their action.

Protesters also claimed that they have implemented every democratic method to materialize their demands but every time they returned empty handed.

The employees demands the release of kilometer allowance in Rac 1980, which was constituted by Railways, implementation of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and the elimination of New Pension Scheme (NPS), so that the employees will live a respected life in their old age and risk allowance to loco pilot and assistant loco pilot if the duo went into an accident.

The employees also said that they service hours are also uncertain, while the other people were enjoying festivals, summer holidays and attending marriages, railways employees have to double duties to drive special trains.
