Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu felicitates #WomenInBlue at Railway Bhawan @sureshpprabhu #cricket

After giving an extraordinary performance in the ICC women’s cricket world cup, there seems to be no end of felicitation and appreciation for Indian Women’s cricket team.

The players were today felicitatated be Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu at Railway Bhawan, New Delhi.

“We have gathered here to say thanks and to encourage our star players for their extraordinary performance in the recent Women World Cup,” Railway Minister said.

Interestingly most of the players in the women’s world cup squad were from the Indian Railways team.

“I will ensure that Railway Ministry provided every possible help to make our women’s sports teams best in the world,” Suresh Prabhu said.

Amid unstopping cheers from the audience, the players were rewarded a cash prize by the Railway Ministry.

In 2017, Indian Women’s cricket team had reached finals of ICC women’s world cup for the first time. They lost the title to England with a little margin of nine runs.
