New Delhi: After President Ram Nath Kovind And Prime Minister Narendra Modi exuded confidence that the law to ban instant triple talaq will soon become a law and the Muslim women can live a life free of fear and indignity. PM also urged the opposition parties to allow the passage of the Triple Talaq Bill in the Budget Session which commenced on Monday.
The delegates and participants of All India Women Ngo’s gathered on Monday at Constitution club, New Delhi. Unitedly opposing the Triple Talaq Bill and Appealed to take it back as it against the constitution of India and against women’s rights and gender justice.
While Exclusively Speaking to Ten News, Alll India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) executive member Dr. Asma Zehra Said,
“There is continuous attempts to break family setup and social structure and disintegrate homes and make women more vulnerable to exploitation. Women are safe and protected in family system and personal laws.”
“There was no need of enacting a law to prohibit Muslim Men from pronouncing Triple Talaq after the Supreme Court judgment.We oppose the Bill under discussion in the Parliament as bill is a violation of 14-15 of the Constitution of India and an interference in the Muslim Personal Law. Bill is anti-women and anti-children as there is no mention of maintenance of wife and children and other dependents of family,” Added Dr. Zehra.
