Residents at Sikka Karmic Greens geared up for the cleanliness drive

Noida: With the aim of spurring the concept of environmental friendliness and cleanliness, a cleanliness drive was held at the Sikka Karmic Greens, Sector 78, Noida. The drive aimed at promoting the ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’. Residents of the society gathered at 11 am and went ahead by cleaning up their society and the nearby roads. Around hundred of the residents had come to assure the cleanliness within the premises of the society and nearby areas. People from all age groups turned up for the event and cleaned the locality.

“Our motive was not just to clean the locality but to spread cleanliness around in order to make people aware of the need for the clean surroundings. The sense of cleanliness also reflects one’s education, out of lack of concern people throw anything anywhere. Through this drive, they would understand that if it’s difficult to clean then we should better throw waste in the waste bins rather than throwing it simply anywhere. These drives bring in an opportunity for people’s participation and create a sense of environment friendliness amid all. The lack of cleanliness in the environment can be dangerous as it can pave way for many diseases and the most important motive for maintaining cleanliness is to maintain a good health” says Anjali Rana, a resident of  Sikka Karmic Greens.
