Sachin Tendulkar message to children around the world on World Childrens Day

NEW DELHI: According to a new survey released by UNICEF on World Children’s Day,when children were asked how they felt when decisions are made that affect them,indian children report feeling the most empowered, with 52 per cent of them believing their voices are heard and that their opinions can affect the future of their country.When the same question was posed to children in 14 other countries, 50 per cent reported feeling disenfranchised.

The god of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar was also present at the Event. The Master Blaster Adressing The Issue Said, “World Childrens Day is the day you can express your views freely but with it also comes responsibility. Kids Take Over is a great platform for children. You can become the voice of millions of children around the world. You have the opportunity to be leaders and take up important issues.When you get your freedom. Make the right use of it. Be a leader that helps others make the right decision”.

Kids take over is a program by UNICEF, for children from around the world taking over key roles in media, politics, business, sport and entertainment to voice their support for millions of their peers who are unschooled, unprotected and uprooted, UNICEF declared. The takeover, set for November 20, marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the mobilisation of the first World Children’s Day
