Samsung Initiates Mega Expansion Plan in Noida, Union Minister Participates In Ground Breaking Ceremony

Samsung today initiated construction for its Mega expansion plan in Noida.
The event was graced by a number of dignitaries including Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Industries, Uttar Pradesh Satish Mahana, NITI Ayog Chairman Amitabh Kant, Samsung South East Asia CEO H C Hong among others.

Samsung CEO Of South East Asia H C Hong said, “Samsung has 2 production units, 5 R& D centres and 70,000 people working for us. World’s best Smartphone Galaxy S is made in Noida. Samsung now plans to invest another INR 4,915crore in India”.
NITI Aayog Chairman Amitabh Kant said, “Samsung is one of the biggest employer in India and also one of the biggest taxpayer in India. I know that Samsung has a target of producing 100 million units by 2020 and I am sure that with this expansion this target will be achieved very fast”.
He further said,”This project expansion was discussed with PM Modi when he visited Korea and I am very glad to see it taking shape today. We have a very progressive and dynamic leadership at both state and Centre and all of us will work as a team to encourage industries and create more jobs”.
UP Minister of Industries Satish Mahana said that State Government is glad to provide all necessary support to Samsung and all other industries who might wish to setup or expand in Noida.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also reiterated governments support to the industries and said that there has been immense growth in this sector and PM Modi’s dynamic leadership and vision most be credited for the same.
He also thanked Samsung for supporting Make In India initiative and giving boost to job sector in the country.
