Spices rule stable in listless trade

Mumbai, Apr 14 (PTI) An overall steady trend was noticed at the spices market here today in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

While, there was no trading in copra Alappuzha and Kozhikode due to closure of markets in view of “Vishu”.

Following are today’s closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 740/790 (740/790), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) closed (5,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) closed (5,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,000 (11,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,400 (7,400).
