Sports Minister Chetan Chauhan Distributes Krida Bharti’s Veermata Jeejabai Awards in Greater Noida, Speaks on Revamped Facilities for Sportsperson

The social organization promoting sports and sportspersons “Krida Bharti” today organized a felicitation for parents of famous sports personalities from the district Gautam Buddha Nagar at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida.
Uttar Pradesh Government’s Cabinet Minister for sports Chetan Chauhan was the chief guest on the occasion. He spoke on length about various initiatives being taken by Uttar Pradesh government to promote sports and sportsperson from the state.
He said, “Now onwards Uttar Pradesh government has decided that it will give equal prize money as being given by Central Government to medal winners of the state. Also for the state awards such as Lakshman awards or Rani Laxmi Bai award, complete transparency is being maintained. Now players can nominate themselves on basis of points and they do not need to depend on any organization to do so”.

On Veer Mata Jeeja Bai award he said, “In the manner in which Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was supported by his mother Maharani Jijabai, all sports personalities also owe their success to their respective mothers and hence this is an initiative to honor these Mothers and parents”.
Raj Chaudhary, National Secretary of Krida Bharti also spoke about different life lessons of Maharani Jeejabai and elaborated on the importance of this award.
The sportspersons who were felicitated includes Megha Chaudhary, Babita Nagar, Avnendra Singh, Garima Chaudhary, Schin Chaudhary, Sapath Bharadwaj, Arjun Bhati, Annu Raani, Manisha Sharma, Parul Tyagi, Diksha Sharma and others.
On the occasion Jewar MLA Thakur Dhirendra Singh, District BJP President Vijay Bhati, Anil Aggarwal, Gopal Saini, Bhanu Sachdeva, Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Vikas Agarwal, Anil Sharma, Mausam Chauhan Bharti, Vishal Mittal, Akhilesh Nagar, Vikas Solanki, Sumit Sehrawat, Gunjan, Annu kataria, Kapil Bhati, Kapil Tyagi and other were also present.
