Thousands of Delhi school student join deputy CM to pledge for fighting sexual abuse!

New Delhi: Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday morning administered a pledge to thousands of school students to prevent child sexual abuse and raise voice against it at Pallika Park, Connaught Place.

The pledge ceremony claimed to be the Asia’s biggest record where more than 1000 people pledged for a cause at one go according to India Book of Records organised. The event was organized by a Delhi based NGO Samadhan Abhiyan.

While addressing the students, Dy CM, Sisodia said, “Students are the light house of the society and if we want to build a powerful nation, then we should improve quality of educations in the government schools and we are devoted for it.”

After the event, he advised the student and parents to fill the communication gap and raise voice against sexual abuse fearlessly. “Parents and students should be vocal on child abuse cases. As much as you raise the voice against it, gradually the figure will go down.”

Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is sson going to deliver a speech at Cambridge University for his revolutionary work in the field of school education.

While talking to the Ten News, president of Samadhan Abhiyan, Archana Agnihotri said, “Child abuse in India has become a menace these days and it is happening because lack of awareness. Though this programme we are igniting them to raise the issue. We are also holding camps, counselling centers in schools to create awareness.”
