TOILET Ek Prem Katha wins ‘Best feature film’ at 43rd Matri Shree Awards!
Journalists from print and electronic media will be presented at 43rd Matri Shree Media Awards which is going on for the last 42 years. Announcement in this regard was made today. Announcing the awards the Convener of Award Committee & Chief Editor Matriswar Dinesh Sharma said
“This time Akshay Kumar starrer film Toilet Ek Prem Katha has been adjudged the best film. In addition 26th journalists from Print & Electronic Media and one social activist and a feature film have been adjudged for the presentation of Bharat Mata Shield.”
The journalists, whose names were selected are Amandeep Shukla from PTI, Vaibhav Maheshwari from Bhasha, Sanya Pandey from UNI, Rajiv Upreti from Univarta and Asiya Intekhab from UNI Urdu. Officers of the Selection Committee, Ashok Aggarwal, Harish Chopra, Ramesh Bajaj, Vishal Rana, Chetan Sharma, Kailash Agrawal including 150 readers have agreed to the name of Santosh Goel in the social service category. Dinesh Sharma said that this time Cartoonist Ismail Lehri Indore of Dainik Bhaskar, Prashant Jain of Nav Bharat Times, Sunita Tiwari from Dainik Hindustan, Sujat Alam from Amar Ujala, Sribhagwan Jha from Dainik Jagran will be presented award the “Lekhni” in a simple function organized at Abhishek Cine Complex, Chandni Chowk on 13thMay, 2018. Senior Citizen Kesari Club Chairperson Kiran Chopra will preside over the function and Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will present the awards to the selected journalists. This award was started in the emergency period in view of the fighting spirit of the Journalists.
The awardees for 43rd Matri Shree Awards include Surender Pandit of Punjab Kesari Delhi, Film Critic Ravinder Tripathi from Jansatta, Photographer Vipin from Dainik Jagran, Senior Journalist Narender Bhandari, Photographer Manas Ranjan from Daily Tribune, Sachin Trivedi from Sandhya Times, Reporter Varun Goel from MH One, Sourabh Shukla from NDTV India, Journalist Pankaj Jain from Aaj Tak, Anil Kumar Singh from Total TV, Roshani Thokane from News Nation, Nawal Hans from UBB News (Youtube Channel), Kaushal Sharma from Prayukti Samachar Patra, Rahul Dabas from Samchar Plus News Channel, Kartik Harbola from Loksabha TV and Pulkit Aggarwal from Digital Street Media Pvt. Ltd.
Dinesh Sharma talking about the awards said, “This award was started 42 years ago and first of all the Martyr Journalist Lala Jagat Narayan was presented the Bharat Mata Shield by Senior Political Leader of Delhi Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra. Our objective is – ‘Lekhani jo satta ki dasi nahi rahi – sarkari inamon ki bhi pyasi nahi rahi – ye swabhiman apna jagati hi rahegi aur naqab gaddaron ke uthati hi rahegi.’ Toilet Ek Prem Katha will also be exhibited in the function.”
