Tributuery to Martyrs “Ek Sham Shaheedon Ke Naam” held

To commemorate the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers for the country, ‘Ek Shaam Shaheedon Ke Naam’, (An Evening for Martyrs) a vibrant event was organized to honour the families of of the martyrs of the country. The program was held at Azad Bhawan, New Delhi by Geeta Jayanty Samaroh Samiti.

Including families of Kargil Martyrs, more than 43 families were honoured. “We are able to sleep peacefully only because our brave soldiers who lay their lives for the country. Today we are honoured to have among us the families who have raised such bravehearts,” Co-ordinator of the event, Raj Kumar Bhathi said.

“Events like these are meant to honour and encourage our soldiers. Martyrs hold the most esteemed place in our hearts and we as a nation are never going to forget the sacrifices they have made,” Brigadier (Rtd) B D said.

The event also witnessed versatile musical and theater performances dedicated to the Martyrs of the country.
