Over two thousand suspicious applications submitted for scholarship scheme, verification in process

About two thousand students of SC ST and general class in the district will get the benefited of state governments scholarship scheme. However large number of students have applied for the same and documents of students which are under suspecion are being investigated. Officers and employees of social welfare department are engaged in the investigation work.
The benefit of the scheme will be given to the SC ST and the general category students who are eligible for it. But due to the negligence of the educational institutions many of the post-graduate scholarship and its students remain deprived of benefits.
While opening the departmental website, the Directorate has also attached the complete description of the suspicious students. The deadline has been set for May 15 for data correction. More than two thousand students of different courses have found place in the list of suspected students.
In the district, 24 thousand 831 students from different caste background had applied for post-graduate scholarship and reimbursement in the financial year 2017-18. Out of which 17 thousand 741 students got benefited with the scholarship and the fee reimbursement scheme.
After the investigations are completed by the acceptance committee, list of eligible eligibility categories will be sent to the government.
