UP varsity student who joined militancy returns home

A Kashmiri student, who went missing from a private university in Uttar Pradesh and joined the militancy, has returned home to Srinagar on Sunday. Immediately after his return, he was taken into police custody. Earlier, an audio had surfaced in which he announced his joining Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir and pledging allegiance to ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
