Launch of UP Export Promotion Council at New Delhi.

UP contributes a substantial amount to the foreign exchequer of the country which is approximately to the tune of Rs. 85000 crores.  The State of UP is also having maximum share for its production in the product categories such as handicrafts, carpet, agro-based products, leather and other allied products which are primarily being manufactured in the MSME sector.

Considering the potential of these items in the international market, the Government of UP has decided to set up its own Export Promotion Council thereby focusing to the promotion of the above mentioned product categories, which will ultimately increase the employment from the State.

The State of UP is the first State in the Country having its own State level Export Promotion Council.

Shri Nitin Agarwal, Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME & Export Promotion, (IC), Govt. of UP shall launch the UP Export Promotion Council from  New Delhi.  The event will also coincide with inauguration of Craft Mart, Noida and Six Additional Halls of India Expo Center & Mart, Greater Noida, Award Ceremony of the best performance in the exports from the State of UP, Buyer Seller Meet (a sourcing event which is a connect programme of primary producers with exporters) and Exporters Conclave.
