Here’s a look at ‘The Royal Odyssey’, the Festive collection by exclusive Menswear Designer Vimal Pareek, which was showcased at the closing day of Bangalore Fashion Week W/F 2016.
Speaking about his collection, Vimal said, “’The Royal Odyssey’, my festive collection for this season, is high on colour and on new silhouettes, The Exclusive Menswear collection embarks on it’s journey from a mesmerizing royal culture depicting its pride through the ornate golden peacock to the beautiful flower motifs, delicate sequined designs with luxurious attributes made with an extraordinary amount of soulfulness, taking you to a seamless sojourn of regal palaces with its full grandeur.”
The primary influences are from Royalty primarily Rajasthan – as the designer true to his roots creates a stunning display of traditional couture & craftsmanship. An interesting colour palette drawn from the Dusty beiges, browns & Grey co-exist with the cheerful Rich Red, Navy Blue, Deep Wine and Maroon enhanced by the accompaniment of the Gold and Metallic that adds to the timeless era.
Held at Sheraton Brigade, the models showcased a brilliant array of wedding & festive collection in stylishly designed range of Achkans, Bandhgalas, Jackets & Breaches epitomizing glamour & sophistication. The designer displayed a huge emphasis on Indian craftsmanship beautifully depicted through vintage embroidery in making each ensemble into something magnificent. The collection truly showcased the best of both the worlds- traditional yet contemporary, glamorous yet understated & the old world charm with a young energy- true to the designer himself.
Vimal says, “This is my debut show at the Bangalore Fashion Week and I’m really overwhelmed by the response. This is exciting times for the Indian men who want to look good and are ready to experiment. Being an exclusive Menswear Designer, It is a matter of great pride to present my groom wear and couture collection which will be a visual treat of style & elegance”.
