Violin Recital and Folk Dances dominate 5th day of Sabrang Utsav at 30th Foundation day celebration of BIMTECH Noida

Fifth day of Sabrang Utsav at Birla Institute of Management & Technology was all about music and dance. Renowned North Indian Classical Violin Artist Anupriya Deotale left every impressed with her amazing soulful performance. Thereafter artists from Kalpana Kala Kendra presented folkdances from different parts of India.

The event began with Anupriya Deotale’s performance who is well known for her expertise and amazing talent on an international level. Anupriya is a violin player and is the first Indian woman to be honored in Lahore by Ustad Salamat Ali and Nazakat Ali Khan Award.


She started the Aamir Khusro Center for Music to promote Indian cultural music and highlight its importance. Her singing and the soothing melody won everyone’s heart. She ended her performance with a soothing recital of “Ekla Chalo Re”.  The performance was jam packed by students and guests who enjoyed it and were mesmerized by such a beautiful melody.

The next performance was by the Kcalpana Kala Kendra, which was associated with the roots of India – the folk dance.

The President of Kcalpana Kala Kendra, Ms. Kcalpana Bhushan has mastered Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, MohiniAttam and folk dance. After showcasing her talent in front of renowned personalities like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, the goal of Ms. Kalpana is to keep her students in touch with their ethnicity.

The performance ended with a huge round of applause as it left the audience in awe.

Along with this, today’s chief guest was Mr. Deepak Parvatiyar. He is the Chief Media Adviser of Isha Creative Vision Pvt Ltd. With over 25 years of professional career in Media, Deepak Parvatiyar has worked in various capacities in all forms of media including print, television and web. In 2015, Mr. Deepak was honored at Parvaz International Film Festival in Tehran (Iran), supported by the Government of Iran, for his “efforts to achieve the goals of the festival” as one of the key organizing members.

In addition to the main guest, Anamika Sood, the principal teacher of the Greater Valley School, also joined the celebrations as a special guest in Sabrang Utsav.
