New Delhi, (1/1/2019): National Federation of Indian Women (NWIF) organised a protest at the Kerala House, near Jantar Mantar in the wake of the Supreme Court’s order allowing women’s entry in Sabarimala Temple irrespective of age.

They claim that political organisations are using this opportunity to destroy the secular and progressive nature of Kerala society.

More than 40 lakh women will form a ‘woman wall’ across Kerala from Kasargod to Thrivunanthpuram on January 1, 2019 to protect renaissance values and demanding gender equality.

Woman organisations, farmers, trade unions, students, youth, writers etc along with the other progressive and social organisations are participating in this programme.

In solidarity of Kerala in their effort for gender equality and justice, NFIW is organising different programmes all over the country.

NFIW considers Women’s Wall as an expression of unity against Patriarchy. It is also the voice against an anti-women positions and demand for gender equality and justice.

NFIW state units are also organising solidarity programmes in more than 250 districts.
