Greater Noida (31/12/18) : Yamaha is currently dominating the premium 150cc two wheeler segment with their mini supersport ‘The R15 V3’ and now with the announcement of the FZ 3.0, it looks like they have no plan to stop this victory lap.

The new 2019 FZ 3.0 has been spotted while having a testing run several times near the Noida-Greater Noida expressway. The facts that Yamaha has their manufacturing plant set up in the Greater Noida’s industrial area as the roads here offer a smooth driving experience may be the reason for the superbike to be tested here.

The 2019 FZ 3.0 will receive several cosmetic updates. The new model of the bike is equipped with LED lights, a re-designed tank, new side panels and a standard rear disc. The previous version of the bike was a very lightweight motorcycle but it generated very low power as well. The 2019 version is expected to receive a much-expected bump in power figures.

The 2019 Yamaha FZ 3.0 will come with an ABS system as standard for enhanced safety. The engine on the new bike is likely to remain the same 2-valve head with fuel injection. The price of the FZ 3.0 will see an increase of around Rs 10,000, depending upon the type of ABS installed.

Besides the FZ 3.0, Yamaha has also had several new bikes in the pipeline. The Yamaha R15 V3 will receive an ABS setup in the coming month and the much awaited MT-15 will also get a launch date from the company soon enough.

The new FZ 3.0 will go up against Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4v.
