Yamuna Expressway to be partially One-way from 20th December

Now Yamuna expressway will close from 20 December to 15 January. Earlier it was from 15 December to 15 January These changes are made because of the work done before to make traffic one way is not been completed yet. So after a trial on 19 November it will be done.

For the construction of a flyover for Peripheral Expressway Yamuna Expressway will have only one way traffic. NHI had requested the Yamuna Authority for making Expressway one way from 15 December to 15 January so that construction work flyover may began and for this a meeting between them was also done. In meeting it is decided that two-two lanes will be reserved on one way for the traffic. But for this the important safety work needed to done is not completed on time like dividers are not been placed between the lanes to divert the traffic. So on Friday movement of traffic on Expressway remained normal as on common days.
Now NHI will start construction from 20 December. For one way traffic will be diverted 500 meters before the construction site before it was planned to be 1 km. A public Address system will also be placed there.
