Yamuna Expressway’s case study is a strong example where a region riding on strong establishing infrastructure came up. The promise was such that developers wasted almost no time in acquiring huge land banks and launched projects. But as the time progressed, the region saw a steep dip in demand from 2010-12 and then picked up pace later in 2012 when the expressway got inaugurated on 9th August. Here are a few reasons which make the region a hit among everyone:

1. Yamuna Expressway Authority has got 2.5 lakh hectare land of 1187 villages comprising of 6 Districts along both sides of the 165 KM long expressway under its authority. 4000 acre of land is available for current allotment by YEIDA.

2. Yamuna Expressway is a world class expressway, which connects Agra to Delhi. It is India’s first expressway, on which successful trial of landing and taking-off of aircraft has been conducted on Dt. 21.05.2015, which got appreciated all over the world. In situations of emergency, the expressway could be utilised as a runway for the landing and take-off of the aircrafts.

3. They have a Sports City situated on 1000 hectare land, featured with state of the art facilities. Within the Sports City, lies the best International Formula – 1 Race Track, which has been witnessing various global races & events in the past. A world class stadium is also under construction in the Sports City.

4. The world famous Taj Mahal, Agra and the religious cities of Mathura – Vrindavan are also situated here.

5. Also under construction is NCR’s first 765 KW Power Station, which would facilitate 24 Hr electricity supply. The ground water here is sweet and potable.

6. It is marked to become an upcoming Education Hub, with two universities viz. NOIDA International University and Galgotias University already conducting courses in its academic, and two more universities are under construction.

7. A proposed airport at Jewar is in the talks, with a metro connectivity at its entry. A MoU has already been signed between the Authority and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the aforementioned metro project. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway would be crossing the Yamuna expressway at milestone 9.5 KM. A dedicated freight corridor is also under construction by the Indian Railways, which would pass through Authority’s area (Distt.-Hathras). India’s largest Industrial Investment Area, Delhi – Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is being constructed in Dadri.

8. Gautam Budhha University, world – class projects, Bird Sanctuary and Night Safari , along with an advanced hospital with modern facilities are under Authority’s control.

9. Both the sides of the roads are being planted with evergreen trees, along with formation of Green belts and parks all over the area.

10. The whole area is developed under the idea of a smart city by the authority.
