In its 62nd board meeting Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has decided to return back the land it has decided to acquire in 2009 as part of developing sector-18 in Yamuna Authority Area.

Detailing about the same after the board meeting, YEIDA Chairman Dr. Prabhat Kumar said, “We have now decided to release the land and cancel acquisition of about 3700 plots that formed a part of our proposed Sector-18. These land pockets primarily belonged to famers of Bhatta Parsaul village area and they have been refusing to accept the compensation from the authority. As most of these haven’t taken any compensation since 2009 hence the land couldn’t be acquired as well. Our development work in installed because of the same and hence we have decided to do away with these plots”.

The Chairman further informed that allottees will face no inconvenience because of this decision and they will be allotted plots in other sectors, making use of available land back with YEIDA.
