Mumbai (India), 22nd March 2023: The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has been all the rage since it hit the screens on 25th January. It has bagged upwards of ₹500 crore on the box office in India and ₹392 crore globally. Now the movie is set to release on OTT platforms.
On Wednesday, 22nd March the Bollywood blockbuster would he available for viewers on Amazon Prime. The announcement was made by the official Twitter account of Amazon Prime India on March 21, 2023.
The tweet read, “ We sense a turbulence in the weather, after all Pathaan is coming!” The movie will be available on the platform in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The movie was directed by Siddharth Anand and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abrahim, Dimple Kapadia among others. It is the fourth movie in the YRF spy series and has proved to be a massive hit worldwide.
In the movie Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan plays a RAW operative who returns from exile in order to prevent a terrorist organization and its leader (John Abraham), from attacking India. Deepika on the other hand plays the role of a spy from ISI, the Pakistani Intelligence Agency.
The OTT version which is now available on Amazon Prime Video is the extended version and is also said to include some exclusive deleted scenes.
