18th Edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Show Inaugurated at India Expo Centre

Greater Noida/Delhi NCR – 24th June 2024 – The 18th edition of Indian Fashion Jewellery & Accessories show (IFJAS), being held at the India Expo Centre from 24th to 26th June 2024, was inaugurated at a vibrant ceremony today, graced by Dileep Baid, Chairman, EPCH; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor in a role of Director General, EPCH and Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd.; Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman II, EPCH; Sobinder Singh Kohli, President, IFJAS 2024 – Reception Committee, and Naveen Yadav, Vice President, IFJAS 2024 – Reception Committee in august presence of Former Chairmen – EPCH Ravi K Passi and Raj K Malhotra and Member Committee of Administration – EPCH, R K Verma, Executive Director, EPCH; exhibitors, trade members, press & media.

Dileep Baid, Chairman, EPCH said, “The primary goal of the show is to establish oneself and their brand. He encouraged exhibitors to focus on building confidence, brand loyalty and networking, and not just focus on short-term business.” He highlighted the opportunities for learning, updating on latest designs, and understanding competitors’ strategies, through participation at the show and also informed that buyers from over 40 countries are set to participate in this edition.

Buyers in good numbers have visited and shared their interest in placing orders with their regular and new found suppliers at the fair. First time visitors are pleased with the atmosphere and concentrated display & presentations. Many have been eloquent about their preference for sourcing from manufacturers they met at IFJAS through the years said Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor in a role of Director General, EPCH and Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd.

Sobinder Singh Kohli, President, Reception Committee, IFJAS 2024, highlighted the show’s objective of fostering stronger ties between the traders’ community and the global market, while celebrating the artistic excellence and cultural heritage of the nation, showcased by the artisans. He expressed his gratitude to the fashion jewellery and accessories exporters for their continued trust in EPCH, collectively emphasizing the sector’s strength and dynamism through IFJAS.

Naveen Yadav, Vice President of the Reception Committee for IFJAS 2024, acknowledged the commitment and contribution of exhibitors and overseas buyers, who have shown significant interest in sourcing from India, thus adding value to the show.

“Fashion shows being organised during the show are one of the main attractions for the visiting buyers who are witnessing the varied and exquisite products of fashion jewellery & accessories being displayed by models on ramp,” and keeping in view with the topicality of ‘market reach and export growth’ seminars on ‘Leveraging Digital Marketing and Social Media Techniques for Export Success’ and ‘Top Trends Influencing Jewellery Market for 2025’ are being organised. The speakers were industry experts and senior consultants who shared information on professional digital communication, connecting with buyers, design & product development, contemporary marketing practices for growth, etc shared Mr. Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman II, EPCH.

“Around 175 exhibitors from PAN India make this three days trade appointment a unique opportunity for buyers to explore a well spread product range, making their own style statements. Components too feature among sought after products at IFJAS as several importing communities from various markets prefer sourcing components for their jewellery products especially from India,” informed Mr. R K Verma, Executive Director, EPCH

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is a nodal agency for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and craftspersons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture and fashion jewellery & accessories products in different craft clusters of the Country. The overall Handicrafts exports during the year 2023-24 was Rs. 32,759 Crores (US $ 3,956 Million) and the exports of Fashion Jewellery & Accessories during the year 2023-24 was Rs 5793 Crores (US $ 517 Million) informed by R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
