JRE Group of Institutions holds their Annual Festival CANVAS 2014

JRE Group of Institutions’ organized their Annual Fest CANVAS 2014 at their campus in Greater NOIDA over three days started on 13th February 2014 and concluded on 15th February,2014.
Over 1000 students from 100 attended the 3-day event. Some of the participants included IIT Delhi, Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS), IMT Ghaziabad, IIFT, SRCC, BIMTECH, Goa Institute of Management, Goa etc. Billed as one of the biggest such college event in Delhi NCR, CANVAS-2014 aimed to provide participants a stimulating environment of learning by engaging in areas of Management and Technology across various fun filled themes, templates and genres.
The major academic events organized include Quizz-In, a serious business quiz inter- institution team event competition with a professional Quiz master Ajay Poonia. Similarly, Kurukshetra, a Business Plan challenge; Clip-o-Mania, a video clip making competition and Ad-Maniac, an instant ad-making challenge and Wranglers, a prestigious Debate competition. Prizes worth over Rs. 2 lakh was up for grabs for winning contestants.
A number of sports competitions organized to test the skills and fitness level of students included Table tennis, Chess and Basket Ball as part of indoor challenges and Cricket, Football and Volley Ball as part of outdoor challenges. Individual events for athletes like races and speed and endurance challenges were the other highlights.
Among the fun and cultural events organized were treasure hunt called Pirate’s Bay; singing talent hunts Sargam idol, a dance competition and events like Nukkad Natak, Fashion Show, T-shirt and face painting challenges. An array of mouth watering food was available at food stalls set up especially for students catering to different taste buds.
Speaking on the CANVAS 2014, Harpreet Singh- President, JRE Group of Institutions said, “CANVAS 2014 is both a celebration of the caliber of our student community at JRE as well as a chance to bring other peer students into contact and promote a meaningful exchange of ideas and values with some healthy competition thrown in for good measure. We want to make CANVAS 2014 the breeding ground of high voltage ideas and the meeting ground of brightest minds across colleges”.
It was a wonderful sight to see bright, young minds from over 100 colleges interact, indulge in healthy competition and generally have a good time with each other
