I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a two day 11th National Conference on “Industrial Problems on Machines and Mechanisms”

The department of Mechanical Engineering, I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a two day 11^th National Conference on “Industrial Problems on Machines and Mechanisms” IPRoMM-2014 under the aegis of Association for Machines and Mechanisms (AMM). The conference was inaugurated by lamp lighting and Saraswati vandana in the guidance of Dr. Vineet Kansal, Director I.T.S Engg. College and Mr. S. Sood, Chief Administrator, I.T.S The Education Group.  Mr. Dinesh Tyagi, Director ICTA, Manesar was the Chie Guest of the inaugural function. The guests were welcomed by Conference Convener, Dr. S.S. Chauhan and theme of the conference was delivered by Prof. Sanjay Yadav, Co-Convener of the conference. In his theme, he described that the main purpose of organizing this conference was to bring engineering heads from industry and academia together on a single platform so that problems faced by industry personnel in designing of mahines and mechanisms and related developments and solutions can be shared with the researchers in academia. At the same time, it also provided a platform to the academic researchers to share the ongoing research with industry persons through research paper presentations. The conference was attended by some well known dignitaries like Prof. S. K. Saha from IIT Delhi, Prof. B. Sahay from IIT Patna, Prof. R. A. Khan from JMI (Retd.) and other delegates from industry. In their speeches of respective guests of honour and the chief guest, it was visualized that a great challenge awaits the engineers in the industry where they have to deal with the machines and mechanisms at miniature as well as macro level.  A sound conceptual clarity is necessary to deal with these problems as only such level of understanding can help in defining the problem and formulating a feasible solution. It is expected that this conference will provide impetus to research in budding engineers and researchers and help in designing more improvised mechanisms. At the same time it will also provide an opportunity to the students to interact with the industry persons and think on some real time problems and develop their skills accordingly. Inaugural Release of proceedings of the conference IPRoMM-2014 was preceded by the Chief Guest. The vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Sanjay Mishra .
