Global Expert Talk session was conducted on September 13, 2016 at GLBIMR, under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GLBIMR and Dr. Urvashi Makkar,Director General, GLBIMR Greater Noida. Chief Speaker of Expert Talk Series was Eminent Consultant Mr. Ashish Patel, Director, Morgan Franklin Consulting, VA, USA. Besides this he would be delivering 30- hours module on Strategic Management from September 13 – 17, 2016at Greater Noida campus. Mr. Pankaj Agarwal welcomed Mr. Ashish Patel and urged st udents to utilize the knowledge imparted in the session as it will help them to understand the challenges faced by MNC’s in Global market and he congratulated Dr.Makkar and her team members for organizing such interactive platforms for GLBIMR students. It will also help them to gain insights on how they can overcome such challenges.Dr. Urvashi Makkar extended gratitude to Mr. Ashish Patel and also encouraged the students to be globally aware about latest strategies being followed by different Industries. She, while addressing the students explained the importance of the session and its relevance for Management Students. Dr. Makkar discussed the current scenario and challenges faced by organization and strategy to gain success through example from “Education” and ‘IT Industry’.Mr. Ashish Patel in this session highlighted major Global issues faced in strategic management like Market Convergence, Government Regulations, Economy of Costs, Social Evils, Technology etc. He also discussed about various strategic models that can be used by organizations to take strategic decisions. The expert talk series like these will help students to remain competitive in today’s global market place by building an understanding of key business and management principles.
